Flap valve with integral spigot especially designed to prevent backflow into sewers and protect properties against flooding.
The flap valve is recommended for properties located close to waterways and bodies of water (streams, rivers, embankments, ponds ...) where the surface water is directly discharged through an outfall into the watercourse.
It prevents the water from rising up through the sewer (heavy rain, storms or floods) and causing flooding..
Available in DN 100, 110, 125, 160 and 200, the valve is comprised of:
a recyclable 20% glass fibre reinforced Polyamide body (PA6-20FCV) a recyclable 30% glass-ball reinforced PPH door a TPE lip seal over-moulded on the door to guarantee a seal at a low level of back pressure an over-moulded TPE pipe sleeve seal.
Thanks to its material, the flap valve offers good resistance against corrosion and ultraviolet degradation. Also due to its low weight it has a low operating head.
It can withstand back pressures of 1 bar or 10m head.
Flap valveis installed on the end of a surface water outfall.
It can be installed on any type of pipeline:
PVC (or of the same external diameter) directly using the integral socket. If the pipeline is not strictly circular (or is damaged), a bead of glue (PU) or sealant can be used.
